SAIL Q3FY10 net profit stood at Rs 1,675.5 crore Vs Rs 843.3 crore and net sales stood at Rs 9,878.7 crore Vs Rs 8,792.7 crore. The bottomline is slightly above estimates.
Employee cost stood at Rs 1,571 crore Vs Rs 1,746 crore. Operating profit margin stood at 26.1% Vs 12.8%. Raw material cost stood at Rs 3,823 crore Vs Rs 5,880 crore.
India’s steel major said that its coking coal cost for Q3FY10, on YoY basis, stood lower while iron ore royalty, ferro alloys cost stood up. Value added steel output stood up 25% (YoY). Company’s capex stood at Rs 2,793 crore, up 114% (YoY).
The company said that it is likely to raise Rs 4,500-5,000 crore via 5% equity sale.
