SACV is an integrated company with involvement in all segments of the film industry’s value chain viz, production, distribution and exhibition. SACV started its
film production business by producing low-budget films like ‘Fun2ssh — Dudes In The 10th Century’ and ‘Agnipankh’. Boosted by these initial successes, SACV progressed to the next level by producing medium-budget movies with good production values, known directors and impressive star casts. Since 2004, SACV has distributed 32 films produced by other production houses, some of which include major blockbusters such as ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Partner’, ‘Heyy Babyy’ etc. The company also have tie ups with several Grade A actors for their forthcoming films which adds another feather to its cap.
On the financial front, the performance of the company had seen a significant jump for the quarter ended December 2009 as its topline and bottomline was at Rs 160.80 crore (Rs 83.13 crore) and Rs 18.29 crore (Rs 6.22 crore), recording a leap of 93 per cent and 194 per cent respectively on a yearly basis.
