Essel Propack, part of the USD 2.4 billion Essel Group with turnover of over USD 300 million, is the largest specialty packaging company – manufacturing laminated and seamless or extruded plastic tubes. With over 2200 people representing 19 different nationalities, Essel Propack functions through 23 state of the art facilities in twelve countries, selling 4.5 billion tubes and continuing to grow every year.

Holding a market share of 33% in the laminated tubes domain, Essel Propack leads as the world’s largest manufacturer with units operating across countries such as USA, Mexico, Colombia, United Kingdom, Poland, Germany, Egypt, Russia, China, Philippines, Indonesia and India. These facilities cater to diverse packaging needs of consumers and include oral care, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food and industrial sectors, by offering customized solutions.

Consolidated revenues for Essel Propack grew by 8.4% YoY during the quarter.
Operating margins declined marginally to 16% as compared to the 16.9% seen during the same period last year. This was due to higher input costs which offset the savings in the employee costs (as a percentage of sales).
Net profit increased by 8.5% YoY during the quarter. This was due to lower forex losses during the quarter.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers company – Net profit of Company rose 48.01% to Rs 88.35 crore in the quarter ended December 2010 as against Rs 59.69 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2009. Sales rose 8.88% to Rs 833.89 crore in the quarter ended December 2010 as against Rs 765.90 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2009. Therewas an explosion followed by Fire in Waste HeatBoiler (E-703) in Ammonia Plant on February 10, 2010. Consequently, therewas disruption in the operation of the plants forabout 4 months and the Company had lodged a claim with New India Assurance Company (NIA) towards the loss of profit andmaterial damage. Now, NIA has settled the claim and paid Rs.141.20 Croreson February 16, 2011 in full and final settlement of the claim. The Company has a leadership position in many products like Methanol, Formic Acid, Acetic Acid, Aniline and TDI. Company’s business is also being consolidated by expansion of TDI capacity
and other products like WNA, CNA and Ethyl Acetate. Moreover, Company is planning expansion in the capacities of some of the core products.– Book value of company is 133 it is paying regular dividend of 32 % for last few years. investors can keep watch on this stock for accumulation on dips .

Total Income has increased from Rs 2628.859 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 to Rs 2820.357 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.
